Political Poetry

Opinions differ, I speak true,
For what I think may not suit you,
And where you swear, I would full feign
Forbear, and have my word again.
Indeed as well as dict or sooth
What you cry false may be my truth,
And so is man forever doomed:
Avoid all phrases ’tis assumed’.
And here we’ll try forever more
To mold our truth into a lore.
